A competição é realizada pela Associação Guarujaense de Bodyboarding, que recebe recursos via Promifae e conta com o apoio da Secretaria de Esporte e Lazer (Sel) da Prefeitura de Guarujá
Os bodyboarders Valdomiro Mirinho e Gina Félix sagraram-se campeões da 2ª etapa do Circuito Guarujaense de Bodyboarding, na categoria profissional masculino e feminino, respectivamente. O evento, promovido pela Associação Guarujaense de Bodyboarding (AGB), foi realizado no domingo (2), na Praia da Enseada e contou com o apoio da Prefeitura de Guarujá.
Tempo bom, sol, belas ondas e shows de manobras, essa foi a tônica durante toda a competição, que contou com a presença de 68 atletas, divididos nas categorias profissional (masculino e feminino), open (masculino e feminino), legends e drop knee.
Os quatro primeiros colocados receberam troféus e kits. A premiação da categoria profissional foi em dinheiro. Os quatro primeiros colocados no masculino dividiram o prêmio de R$ 850,00. Já no feminino, o valor dividido foi de R$ 450,00 entre as quatro primeiras colocadas.
Todas as etapas do Circuito contam com o patrocínio da empresa Santos Brasil, por meio do Programa Municipal de Incentivo Fiscal ao Esporte (Promifae), instituído pela Prefeitura de Guarujá, e coordenado pela Secretaria Municipal de Esporte e Lazer (Sel).
O Circuito terá mais duas etapas ao longo do ano. A terceira deverá ocorrer na Praia de Pernambuco e a última será novamente na Praia do Tombo.
